Some Updates & Planting Moringa seeds 🌱 His Workmanship

Ephesians 2:10, For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Notice the placement of the word: "works”. We do not obtain anything from God by working for it.

We don’t deserve anything but judgment. If He gave us what we deserve, we would all end up in hell.

Instead, we receive His grace, His mercy, and His love. This verse is telling us as born-again believers we are designed to produce good works.

Another word for "workmanship" is: "masterpiece." We are God's masterpiece." God is working out in our lives His wisdom, His power, His love, His life, His character, His peace, and His joy. He is teaching us, and training us, thereby producing a remarkable masterpiece for the world to witness. And this masterpiece is displayed in good works: through our kindness, our love, our mercy, and compassion, by helping and meeting each others needs.

Paul says that God has prepared these works beforehand.

I read an interesting illustration of this while doing my devotions.

While two men were flying to Albuquerque they decided, as the plane was landing, that they would have some prayer together. One of the men prayed, "Father, thank You for the good works already prepared for us in Albuquerque, for the fact that they are waiting for us to step into them and experience them." And sure enough, after they got to Albuquerque the following began to unfold. They happened to bump into a missionary there from the Amazon region of South America. This missionary had become discouraged and was upset, ready to quit the ministry. But as these two men began to speak with him…  and share the Word of God and encourage this missionary, he came alive and began to see again what God could do. His face began to light up as the Lord ministered to him through these two men, and he decided to go back to his field encouraged and reinvigorated to do the work God had called him to.

Do you realize that God has good works prepared for you and me?

They are waiting for us to enter into as we walk in faith with trust and dependence upon Christ.

The situations are there, ready and waiting for each of us to step into. This is what God has called us to. And as we do so, we become a vivid display of the greatness and the glory of God.

I encourage each of you to pray for our Heavenly Father to prepare us to do good works and to allow us to see these opportunities and to take full advantage of them in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Life Happens Let's Enjoy It!

So, lets each one of us, before we leave our home, think about God's plan for us today and how He is going to display Himself through us today!
