Isaiah 57: 15

For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, With him who has a contrite and humble spirit, To revive the spirit of the humble, And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Last week, while we were on our way to church, the radio was tuned to a Christian station and the announcer said something that caused me to stop and pause.

He made the statement that, “Before God laid the foundations of the world, He had you on His mind and He loved you.”

I’ve pondered that for a week now and this is what the Lord has shown me…

Before time was created there was God. 

Before space was shaped or stars were formed.

Before the universe was made and its laws were put into effect and its principles were established, there was nothing…  

Nothing except the Eternal Godhead [the Deity] of Love.

Before the worlds were founded there was nothing at all.

No angels, no principalities, no powers, no heavenly places.

No atoms; no elementary particles; no molecules, no electrons, no sound, no smell, no heat, no light, no dark, no color, no peace, no evil, nothing.

Nothing, except God, in the mystery of the three Persons.

Consider the enormity of these statements.

Before the foundations of all, there is timeless eternity.

It was here, in the mind of the Father. 

It was here, in the heart of the Son. 

It was here, in the breath of the Spirit. 

It was here, in goodness, kindness, and person-ness between the persons of the Trinity.

It was here, by means of uncomprehending Love, God conceived of you and of me!

It was here in eternity past that His thoughts of Love formulated you and I.

It was here in the secret place of the “Most High” that you were chosen in Him: according as He has chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, as Ephesians1:4 tells us.

It was here that we were designed to be godly and guiltless before Him in Christ. 

It was here that the blood of the Spotless Lamb was ordained to redeem each one of us...

Knowing that you were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold… but with, the blood of Christ, spotless and unblemished, and foreknown before the foundation of the world, but appeared in these last times for our sake.  Just as 1 Peter 1:18-20 declares!

If there is any doubt that you are loved with an everlasting Love...

If there is any uncertainty that you are accepted in the Beloved…

If there is any question in your heart that His plans and purposes might fail...

Look back before the foundation of the creation, where His love for you and for me began, and is forever established.

Trust in God’s promises and rest in His love, secured before the foundation of the world, through the Son of His Love, Jesus Christ our Lord!
