Revelation 3: 20
Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my
voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with
me.
We all begin life with a door that separates us from Him, because of the sin in our hearts.
But it is Jesus who takes the initiative by coming to the
door [of our heart] and knock.
There are only two ways to respond to a knock— either ignore
it or open the door.
The amazing reality of prayer is it exists, because God
wants to have a relationship with us.
Prayer begins with God moving our heart to seek His heart.
We don’t initiate prayer… God does… This means that our
prayers are always a response to God’s promptings.
The scene in today’s Bible reading portrays this fact beautifully. By knocking on the door to our hearts, the Lord invites us to enjoy a deep… lasting friendship with him.
…Prayer is Jesus knocking at the door…
Jesus, [the] King of Glory.
[the] Creator of the Universe.
Lord of Lords. [the] Alpha and Omega. [the] Prince of Peace. [and]
Coming King.
This is Jesus who knocks. This is Jesus who waits for our response.
So. when you are prompted pray… Bow before its mystery...
Open the door and cherish your Lord’s grace and love.

God Bless!
