Tying up tomatillos ** There is a reason...

Matthew 5:10 ~ “Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.”
John 16:33 ~ “I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

Yes, the Bible makes it very clear… We will face persecution… hardship… suffering and struggles in our life.

And the truth be told, we’ll do almost anything to avoid pain and suffering…

First ~ We are not God… We hate suffering because we like to think we are in control. Suffering helps us see that we never had control in the first place.

Second ~ The Beauty of God’s grace… When we realize we have no control… we’ll become aware that we are not God, and begin to see that we need struggles to help us see the beauty of God’s grace and our desperate need for Him…
Third ~ We were created for more. Suffering loosens our grip on this life and opens our eyes to what God has prepared for those who trust in Him.
The Bible describes this ‘more’ as so much greater than we could ever imagine, and this helps us to ease our suffering as look in light of eternity…

You see finding purpose in suffering is all about perspective…
As we fix our eyes on Jesus and recognize the peace that He has made available to each one of us… and hold on… and I mean hold on with all you’ve got!
Remember that for followers of Jesus, the best is yet to come!!!
“I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”  John 16:33

There are times life is going to be difficult… We will suffer… Life is going to hurt…

But take heart because Jesus has overcome the world!
