An Easy Meal To Prepare ~~ A Story About trust...

Matthew 22:14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.”

                                           

                                        It comes down to trust... 

We must trust that Jesus is who He says He is…

And that He died on the cross for our sins, making us right with God.

Many years ago, my Dad told me a story about Trust…

The story was about a man that had strung a tight rope across the Niagara Falls and printed in the local paper that he would walk across the falls with a wheelbarrow full of rocks.

The day came and the crowd was big and excited about the event.

The Man with his new wheelbarrow and asked the crowd, “How many of you believe that I can make it across the tight rope and back?”

The crowd cheered loudly and replied, “We believe you can do it.”

The man, made it to the other side and back with the wheelbarrow full of rocks.

And the crowd thundered with cheers.

The man then asked the crowd full of people, how many believe that he could push a man or woman in his wheelbarrow across and back?  

Now the crowd got even more excited and cheered him on to take a person across Niagara Falls and back.

But when the man asked for a volunteer from the crowd to sit in His wheelbarrow as he crossed over the Falls, not surprisingly, no one volunteered!

Although many believed he could do it, no one volunteered to sit in his wheelbarrow.

And many of the people thought he was crazy to ask them to get in that wheelbarrow.

It’s easy for people to say they believe in Christ…

but few are willing to choose to get into His wheelbarrow (so to speak).

This is what Christ asks of you and I... to Trust Him... to Rely on Him.... To submit and depend on Jesus...

SO, WITH THAT I WANT TO REMIND YOU… LIFE HAPPENS, LET’S ENJOY IT!

The word “believe in the Bible is more accurately translated – to rely on, trust!
