Psalm 46:10 Be still and know that I am God.
Some Christians say that they "know" the truth. Yet can secretly worry within their heart. Their restless soul longs for a peace that will give them true confidence and hope in their every day life. Sometimes the hardships and difficulties of life can cause one to grow weary and doubt can begin to settle in and try to crowd out "truth".
Yet we have a Heavenly Father that assures us that He will never forsake us and in His hand is every detail of our life. Remember - Our faith cannot carry us unless we are fixed on Him! Keep your eyes upon Jesus; like the old hymn says:
Our God who created everything... He created the universe and keeps it in motion...Turn your eyes upon JesusLook full in His wonderful faceAnd the things of Earth will grow strangely dimIn the light of His glory and graceOh soul are you weary and troubled? No light in the darkness to seeThere's a light for a look at the SaviorAnd life more abundant and freeHis words shall not fail you, He promisedBelieve Him and all will be wellThen go to a world that is dyingHis perfect salvation to tellTurn your eyes upon JesusLook full in His wonderful faceAnd the things of Earth will grow strangely dimIn the light of His glory and grace
Then certainly our universe, our difficulties and problems, whether within us or those around us... are not bigger than God.
This new year let us resolve to - Keep our eyes upon the Lord Jesus Christ. Staying fully fixed on Him! Keeping our eyes on Jesus... on His Word... holding on to the promises written... looking full in His wonderful face... and the things of earth will grow strangely dim...
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Galatians 6:9And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
