Truth, the only real & correct Truth. . .

The Lord is definitely stretching me and teaching me in ways I'd never have believed He would.
That being said lately I've been studying "Truth" God's truth, the only real and correct truth.
This is what the Lord impressed upon me-

The opposite of objective is subjective
The opposite of absolute is relative

Do you know the difference?

Have you ever based your beliefs about the Lord and the Word of God on feelings and opinions? We need to learn the difference.

Have you noticed that the condition of your mind changes? One can “feel” calm and peaceful and in a moment’s notice become anxious and worried. A decision can be made that one is sure about, and then later can find oneself unsure and undecided. Why would we believe our opinions or our feelings could be trusted to furnish us with truth?
We must develop the conviction to follow and live by God’s absolute truth.
Here’s what the Bible says about God’s truth.

Galatians 6:7-8 says, “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.  For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”

I like the way the NLT reads for this verse: Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant. Those who live only to satisfy their own sinful nature will harvest decay and death from that sinful nature. But those who live to please the Spirit will harvest everlasting life from the Spirit.

In this passage, God is saying, “I’m God. I choose what’s best. I call the shots.” We can choose not to believe what God says about truth, sexuality, homosexuality or wisdom but this doesn’t mean that His word is not absolute and true. That’s why, when we violate God’s truth we reap painful consequences. The consequences of our behavior can be seen in our soaring divorce rates and break ups, people sky-high in debt, and people in addictions they can’t shake because they are trying to fill the gaps and holes that the world doesn’t fill. We reap what we sow.

These are the definitions:
Subjective, (adjective):“Subjective” means just a matter of personal opinion. Based on feelings or opinions rather than facts.  Existing in the mind; belonging to the thinking subject rather than to the object of thought (opposed to objective).

Objective, (adjective): “Objective” – independent of people’s opinion (including one’s own)  Based on facts rather than feelings or opinions; not influenced by feelings.

Absolute (adjective): “Absolute” – regardless of the circumstances. Complete and total, not limited in any way, having unlimited power;

Relative, (adjective): “Relative” means varying with the circumstances.  Compared to someone or something else or to each other; seeming to be something when compared with others

1 Corinthians 3:18 Amplified Bible
"Let no person deceive himself. If anyone among you supposes that he is wise in this age, let him become a fool [let him discard his worldly discernment and recognize himself as dull, stupid, and foolish, without true learning and scholarship], that he may become wise [really] wise."

That verse sums it up!
