Celebrating... ** Love is not rude...

1 Corinthians 13: 5
Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on it's own way; it is not irritable or resentful.
Love is always considerate of others, even when [in our eyes] they don’t deserve it…
And — 1 Corinthians informs us how many of the people in Corinth were overindulging and getting drunk on the Communion wine (1 Cor. 11:20-22).
And how some of the women were overstepping bounds and usurping the role of men in the church (1 Cor. 11:3-16; 14:34-35).
And that both men and women were corrupting the worship services by trying to outdo one another with their spiritual gifts (1 Cor. 14:26).

It appears that the Corinthians were justifying their rude behavior — just as we often justify ours.
But rudeness betrays a lack of love and is always damaging to effective ministry.
For example, I've seen Christians behave so rudely toward people who smoke that they destroyed their own testimony by their rude behavior…

However, I want to tell you about the experience that the young couple my husband married (just this past March in our church) had last week…

The young man was at the grocery store (the only grocery store in town I might add); Where three ladies decided to tell him that he is going to hell because he has tattoos… … let me read what she wrote on her Facebook page…

To the 3 older ladies that decided to jump my husband at the grocery store and tell him he's going to hell because he has tattoos,
I pray that your life's free of sin that you felt it was your responsibility to judge someone and cast that stone.
You don't know the struggle that my husband has faced, the fact that he's found comfort and believes in God… is a miracle within itself.
There are many Christians in this world with tattoos…
I'm sure these three judgmental women have never sinned. 😂
It's sad living in a small town where just about everyone knows everyone…
[And] there's only one church that has not judged us…
We love our church, and our church family as they have never judged us.
So, for all my Facebook friends that wish to come to a church where you're excepted to worship and be part of a family, I'll see you at Sandy Lake Alliance Church on Sunday…

Please know… that I am not writing this to lift up my husband or our church…
But to emphasize how very important it is to LOVE, and never act unbecomingly or rude…
We all have a story… we all have a past… perhaps if our sins were tattooed on our body for all to see we would be kinder and more considerate and loving to those we know not, at all…

God bless and I hope you enjoy our Birthday celebration...
