The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of Homesteading ** Purify

😊 Quite honestly, I never considered myself a homesteader...
I was asked by Wholesome Roots Homestead to join in a collaboration where we share what homesteading is to us... about the good and the bad and what is downright ugly about homesteading!

😊I decided to reverse my answers and start with the "ugly" of homesteading.
First is: Death is very real… from bunnies to birds… whether it’s one of your goats… or even a stray cat, you cannot avoid the reality of death…it seems to be everywhere…

Second is: In sickness or in health… you still need to keep your homestead going… when one gets ill or has an accident… another has to pick up their responsibilities as well as their own…

πŸ˜ŠNext is the "bad" of homesteading.
Third is: It’s dirty, your hands are gonna be dirty and you're going to get sweaty… sometimes even in the winter you still get sweaty!

Fourth is: You're going to experience failure... From recipe failures to canning failures and failure to grow certain plants … failure is just part of trying something new and learning about new things….

Fifth is: It can be Unreliable… dealing with Nature... too much snow, a late frost, an early frost, not enough rain, and even crazy winds…  can wreak havoc and destroy all of your hard work…

😊Then last the "good" of homesteading...
I hope you'll want to watch my video and find out about all the good and wonderful things that come from homesteading!
And afterward I give a devotion from 1 John 3: 2-3about purifying yourself as He is pure...
God bless and remember: LIFE HAPPENS, LET'S ENJOY IT!
